Direct Mail and Address Matching
This section describes our use of third-party services in connection with direct mail marketing campaigns.
We may engage third-party address-matching or identity resolution vendors to help us identify a physical mailing address associated with an email address you provided to us. To facilitate this process, we may transmit your email address to such vendor in hashed form. The vendor uses the hashed email address to locate a corresponding physical mailing address and returns that address to us for use in a direct mail marketing campaign. We do not transmit any financial information, estate planning information, or onboarding data to address-matching vendors.
We use this process solely to send you re-engagement or promotional direct mail on our own behalf. We do not use address matching for any other purpose, and we do not permit our vendors to use your information for their own commercial purposes.
Vendors engaged for address matching are required to: (i) use your information only for the specific purpose of performing matching services for Legal Karma; (ii) delete hashed emails and matched addresses within thirty (30) days following completion of the applicable campaign; (iii) maintain appropriate security measures; and (iv) not transfer your information to any third party without our prior written approval.
You may opt out of this practice at any time by emailing info@legalkarma.io with the subject line “Direct Mail Opt Out.” See the “Choice / Opt Out” section above for full details.
